I now respect people who hold down a full time job, and do everything at home, a lot more. My Mom has been out of town for the past week, and I have been taking care of all the animals, working full time hours, and doing other little odds and ends around here. By the time I have gotten home from work the past couple of nights, I have fed the kittens, with only one eye open, fed and walked the dogs, fed the other cats, and then stumbled into bed, not moving an inch until morning.

Things at work have been going pretty well. We've been busy with emergencies, but, that's more of a fun kind of busy. It's just a rush with emergencies, the fast paced environment.

One of the things that is hard with veterinary medicine is the fact that the animal can't tell you what's wrong, what's hurting. They come in, not acting right, and it becomes a puzzle, often with few clues. It becomes a battle with an unseen enemy, a battle that is hard to win, but so easy to lose.
