So, I had jury duty on Monday. Five hours of pure torture. First, we had the two hours of sitting in assigned seats(I felt like I was in kindergarden again) in the chairs that, according to the video we had to watch, were designed for our comfort...my response..HA! Stupid chairs. Then, we went into the court room, where we got drilled by the lawyers for three more hours, so they, in a horrible mockery of the witch in Snow White, could pick the fairest of us all. The mirror in Snow White could have saved us a lot of time. Must suggest that to the court. Luckily, I wasn't picked, and got to go home after that. On a funny note, one of the lawyers looked exactly like Jamie from Mythbusters:
the only thing that was missing was the hat.

I then went to school and completely sucked at my English midterm. Maybe she likes me enough to overlook the fact that the essay completely sucked, and really didn't talk about the topic at all. We'll see if my good charms hold up.

I then called the jury hotline thing, and found out that I didn't have to report for jury duty on Tuesday. I really should have called in work, and said I would come in, but to be honest, I felt like crap, so I didn't. I'm kind of glad, because I actually slept until ten thirty this morning. I haven't slept that late in over a year. I barely moved from bed all day today. I still felt really guilty for not going in, because that left Lori there alone, and Dr. C didn't have a tech, but sometimes, I just have to realize that everything is not my problem. They knew at work for a month that I had jury duty this week, so it's not my fault that they weren't prepared. I have gone into work on my deathbed before, and not complained. Bleh, having a conscience really sucks. Oh well, I am going into work tomorrow, because I don't have to report back again. Yay for me. Work is tons better than jury duty!
